Namaste!
Greetings from India!
My name is Venki Prabhu, and I live with my family in Mangaluru, Karnataka, India. Mangaluru is a beautiful and vibrant coastal city in the south-western part of India, located along the shores of the Arabian Sea. It is known for its pleasant climate, scenic beaches, rich cultural traditions, and warm hospitality. The city is also an important educational, commercial, and trading centre in the region.
Mangaluru has a long and fascinating maritime history. For centuries, it has served as a major gateway for trade, travel, and cultural exchange between India and many parts of the world. Because of this, the city has developed a unique blend of traditions, languages, cuisines, and lifestyles. People here celebrate festivals with great enthusiasm, and the region is known for its diversity, heritage, and strong sense of community.
I believe that banknote exchanging is a wonderful and meaningful way to connect people from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds. Every banknote tells a story. It reflects the history, identity, values, wildlife, architecture, famous personalities, and achievements of a nation. Through banknotes, we can learn about countries we may never visit in person, and we can develop a deeper appreciation for the beauty and diversity of the world. I am very happy and grateful to be part of this international banknote-collecting community, where people share not only collectibles but also friendship, respect, and knowledge.
Collecting has been one of my favorite hobbies for many years. I enjoy collecting a variety of Numismatic items, including :
• Currency notes
• Coins
Among all my collecting interests, I have a special love for Tigers and Elephants, which are my favourite themes. These magnificent animals represent strength, beauty, wisdom, and the importance of wildlife conservation. I especially admire banknotes that feature animals, nature, and symbols of national pride.
My Main Collecting Interests in Banknotes
I especially enjoy collecting stamps depicting:
• Tigers
• Elephants
• Wildlife
• Endangered species
• Nature and conservation themes
• National heritage and cultural symbols
I am particularly interested in banknotes that highlight the natural beauty and cultural identity of a country. Banknotes with animals, forests, mountains, monuments, traditional art, or historical figures are always fascinating to me because they offer a glimpse into the story of a nation.
What You May Send
If you do not have banknotes featuring Tigers or Elephants, please feel free to send any UNC banknote from your country. I truly enjoy receiving banknotes from around the world, and I always appreciate the opportunity to learn more about different nations through their currencies. Even a single banknote can be very special when it comes from a faraway place and carries a piece of that country’s history and culture.
I would be especially happy to receive banknotes that are clean, crisp, and well preserved. UNC banknotes are always preferred because they help maintain the quality of the collection and allow the design details to be seen clearly.
Please Avoid
To help maintain the quality and focus of my collection, I kindly request that you avoid sending:
• Indian banknotes
• Used, damaged, folded, torn, or heavily circulated banknotes
• Replica, souvenir, or novelty banknotes
Please send UNC (Uncirculated) banknotes whenever possible.
I sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation. By following these preferences, you help make each exchange more enjoyable and meaningful for both of us
A Small Request
If you are sending your banknote by post, I would be delighted if you could use attractive commemorative postage stamps on the envelope instead of ordinary definitive stamps. I especially appreciate envelopes bearing multiple commemorative stamps, wildlife themes, or stamps that represent your country's culture, history, heritage, or natural beauty. Beautifully decorated and genuinely travelled envelopes are always a wonderful addition to my collection, and they make the exchange feel even more special.
I also value the care and effort that collectors put into preparing their mail. A thoughtfully prepared envelope with interesting stamps, neat packaging, and a personal touch makes the exchange memorable and enjoyable. Such details show kindness, creativity, and respect for the hobby.
Every item I receive is carefully preserved and becomes a treasured part of my collection. I always value the time, effort, and friendship shared by fellow collectors. Your kindness and generosity are sincerely appreciated, and I am grateful for every exchange.
Thank you very much for supporting this wonderful hobby. I look forward to exchanging banknotes, building new friendships, and learning more about your country, culture, and traditions through this exciting international community.
Happy Collecting & Save Heritage!
Best regards,
Venki Prabhu
